CicLAvia closed off Venice Blvd. from the beach all the way through Culver City for an open streets event: an opportunity for Angelenos to come out and imagine an infrastructure with less cars.

I was brought in to cover the Mar Vista hub, a mile-long stretch, for the duration of the event from 9 a.m. - 4 p.m. In that time, I photographed people with their loved ones, moments at the Mar Vista Farmer’s Market, and community organizations connecting neighbors.

The scope of the project was to create at least 200-250 images per their shot list and deliver 20 selects the following morning.
